Pre -coat
Alu-Precoat is a pipe insulation product and vapour barrier system
in one. It is designed for
use at low temperatures, i.e., below ambient
pipe work. The product is supplied as a
preformed pipe section that
snaps over the pipe.
Characteristics:
• Insulation properties - the Polyisocyanurate provides the highest
level of
Thermal insulation. Refer to Polyisocyanurate data sheet.
• The vapour barrier is a 70 micron Aluminium laminated foil.
Detailed composition:
- Layer A: LLDPE (Polythene) for reinforcing &
weld ability.
- Layer B: MYLAR film for strength & vapour resistance.
- Layer C: ALUMINIUM sheet for vapour resistance.
- Layer D: LLDPE (Polythene) for reinforcing & weld ability.
Installation:
Non-critical insulation applications, such as hot water piping systems
can be installed by
non-specialised persons. The insulation of air-conditioning or chilled
water piping should
be done by a recognised contractor. |
